With tears in my eyes, I said goodbye to my childhood home at 158 Murrow St. this week. As we packed up 33 years of memories, front porch sitting, and family traditions from the historic farmhouse where Mama and Daddy modeled what true hospitality looks like, my Dad went out to the smokehouse and brought out something deeply special: my Great Grandma Elnora’s boiling water canner.
I loaded that four-generation family heirloom into my car, brought it home, and put it straight to work on my stove.
